Abstract

Le système de suivi (106) décrit permet de suivre des zones sur un substrat (104) à l'aide d'un faisceau d'irradiation. Le faisceau d'irradiation a généralement une projection de faisceau d'irradiation (202) sur le substrat (104) de manière que au moins une dimension de la projection de faisceau d'irradiation (202) soit sensiblement supérieure à une longueur d'ondes du faisceau d'irradiation. Le système de suivi (106) comprend généralement un moyen de détection (108) adapté pour détecter une variation d'une caractéristique optique d'au moins une partie du faisceau d'irradiation induit par interaction avec différentes régions (204, 206) du substrat ayant différentes propriétés de modulation de l'irradiation, pour localiser ledit faisceau d'irradiation par rapport audit substrat (104). Le système de suivi est généralement adapté pour coopérer avec un substrat. L'invention concerne également un système de détermination de position pour obtenir des informations associées à la position à partir d'une modulation du faisceau d'irradiation induit par le substrat, un procédé correspondant et des substrats à utiliser avec celui-ci.
