Abstract

The invention relates to a herbicide applicator comprising: a tool-carrier chassis (A, Figure 1) which supports a 200-litre container (B, Figures 1 and 2); a system for regulating parallel pirns (C, Figure 2); a drop-metering system (D, Figure 2); and an applicator system (E, Figure 3) which can be used to apply herbicides in order to control weeds in grassland, natural fields, areas of vegetation cover, seedbeds and other types of forage land. The inventive applicator affects the weeds but not the pasture.

En las pasturas perennes y en los mejoramientos en cobertura, es donde resulta más complicado el control de malezas, ya que están compuestas por mezclas de plantas forrajeras, gramíneas y leguminosas, de distintas características, muchas veces complementarias. Cuando se trata de controlar malezas en una pastura ya implantada, se debe recurrir a herbicidas selectivos, para no afectar las pasturas al combatir las malezas. Estos herbicidas tienen un costo por hectárea muy elevado y muchas veces no se obtienen los niveles de control deseados. Además deben ser aplicados en determinados momentos muy puntuales, lo que a veces se hace muy difícil o imposible por la ocurrencia de vientos, lluvias o rocíos que complican o impiden los trabajos de aplicación por parte de los equipos pulverizadores. Por este motivo es que las máquinas de UBV comunes no son recomendadas para aplicar herbicidas por el problema de deriva. La máquina de alfombra aplica también menos de 15 litros por hectárea, pero no tiene ningún problema de deriva con el viento. En una pradera de gramíneas (tipo Festuca) y leguminosas (tipo trébol blanco y lotus), para controlar cardos o senecio en el segundo año de la pastura, el control es caro por el costo de los herbicidas que hay que usar y difícilmente se logra un buen control, sin afectar a alguno de los componentes botánicos de la pastura. Esto se logra con las canillas en paralelo y con el uso de goteros calibrados. b - Al poder conocer el gasto de herbicida por hectárea, el ancho de trabajo de la máquina y la velocidad de trabajo del tractor, se puede hacer un cálculo de costos, para saber cuanto cuesta utilizar esta máquina por hectárea, en un predio determinado. c - La forma de la caída de la alfombra que va colgada del chasis, determina una relación entre el ancho de la alfombra y el ancho del chasis, cuyo valor predeterminado es de 1,5. Esto hace que el caldo que sale de los goteros se desparrame perfectamente por la alfombra y la moje en forma total y uniforme, evitando el chorreado. d - Permite controlar selectivamente malezas grandes, algo que los herbicidas selectivos no pueden hacer porque precisan que la maleza sea muy pequeña o una plántula para poder matarla. e - No es afectada por el viento durante la aplicación. f - Se puede utilizar en pasturas y mejoramientos en cobertura de leguminosas forrajeras ya establecidas, sin afectarlas. g - Permite abaratar los tratamientos porque usa bajas cantidades de herbicida por hectárea y los herbicidas que usa son baratos. h - Al aplicar volúmenes tan pequeños de herbicida (1 litro por hectárea) y en forma tan localizada (solamente las malezas tocadas) esta máquina es una herramienta que ayuda al cuidado del medio ambiente, lo cual representa una ventaja ecológica. La máquina aplicadora de herbicidas con alfombra, se puede utilizar en campos naturales, para limpiarlos de malezas y potenciar las especies más productivas. El bajo costo de mantenimiento de esta máquina es otra de las cualidades que se deben resaltar. The carpet weed killer machine can be used in natural fields to clean weeds and enhance the most productive species. The low maintenance cost of this machine is another of the qualities that should be highlighted. The carpet machine also does not require agricultural tractors with great engine power to be used, so it represents an economy in tractor fuel consumption and can be used with any small agricultural tractor.

1. -Maquina aplicadora herbicidas para el control de malezas en praderas, campos naturales, mejoramientos en cobertura, semilleros y otros tipos de mejoramiento forrajeros; tocando solamente las malezas sin afectar la pastura , caracterizada por estar constituida por un chasis portaherramientas (A - figura 1 ) que lleva un deposito de 200 litros ( B - figura 1 y 2 ) para el agua y el herbicida ( caldo ) .1.-Herbicide applicator machine for weed control in grasslands, natural fields, cover improvements, seedlings and other types of forage improvement; touching weeds only without affecting the pasture, characterized by being constituted by a tool holder chassis (A - figure 1) that carries a 200 liter tank (B - figures 1 and 2) for water and herbicide (broth).
