Abstract

Certains modes de réalisation et aspects de la présente invention concernent un photobioréacteur comportant des unités de photobioréacteur couvertes à travers lesquelles s'écoulent un courant de milieu liquide et un courant de gaz. Le milieu liquide inclue au moins une espèce d'organisme phototrophe. Certains procédés d'utilisation du système de photobioréacteur comme partie d'un système de génération de combustible et/ou d'un procédé ou système de traitement de gaz éliminent d'un courant de gaz, au moins partiellement, certains polluants non souhaitables. Dans certains modes de réalisation, une partie du milieu liquide est déviée d'une unité de photobioréacteur et réintroduite en amont de la position de déviation. Dans certains modes de réalisation, le système de photobioréacteur décrit ici, les procédés d'utilisation de tels systèmes et/ou les appareils et les procédés de traitement de gaz fournis ici peuvent être utilisés en tant que partie d'un procédé et d'un système de combustion intégré, les organismes photosynthétiques utilisés dans le photobioréacteur étant récoltés du photobioréacteur, traités et utilisés en tant que source de combustible pour un système de combustion, tel qu'une centrale électrique.
