Abstract

L'invention concerne un support stratifié multicouche permettant l'application d'informations sous une forme lisible par une machine ou par l'homme, sur une face supérieure visible du support, par les sorties d'un ou de plusieurs lasers ou d'autres sources lumineuses haute intensité. Dans une forme de réalisation préférée, ce support comporte trois couches, à savoir un substrat, une couche thermochrome, et une couche d'absorption de lumière placée entre le substrat et la couche thermochrome. La couche d'absorption de lumière est conçue pour absorber la lumière de la source lumineuse et convertir la lumière absorbée en chaleur. La chaleur est immédiatement transférée dans les parties sélectionnées de la couche thermochrome qui est en contact thermique avec la couche d'absorption de lumière, et provoque un changement de l'aspect visuel, par exemple de couleur, dans certaines parties de la couche thermochrome, de manière à créer l'inscription voulue. Le support comprend de préférence des matériaux de masquage permettant de réduire la visibilité de la couche d'absorption de lumière à l'oeil nu. La couche d'absorption de lumière est de préférence un absorbant peu coûteux tel que le noir de carbone. Dans une forme de réalisation différente, l'invention concerne un support stratifié à deux couches comprenant un substrat et un couche thermochrome. Le support décrit peut être utilisé pour l'étiquetage de produits courants. L'invention concerne en outre un procédé et un appareil permettant l'utilisation du support décrit pour l'étiquetage de produits.
