Abstract

L'invention un support comprenant un corps cylindrique (1), de préférence creux, comportant au moins une ailette hélicoïdale (2) disposée autour du corps cylindrique (1), favorisant la formation d'un biofilm et facilitant la circulation de l'eau à travers et autour du support, et permettant de mettre en contact les éléments contaminants et le biofilm afin de décomposer les éléments contaminants. Par ailleurs, les ailettes hélicoïdales (2) permettent de réduire à un minimum la surface exposée aux contacts et, ainsi, d'éviter un décollement du biofilm lors d'un contact avec un autre support.
