- one or more buffers 172 may receive and hold data from the multiplexer 140 prior to outputting the data to the readout bus 146.
- the buffer 172 may hold data until the readout bus 146 is available. It should be understood that the buffer 172 may also be used within the detectors 100 and 152 previously discussed in FIGS. 2 and 7. It is clear to a person skilled in the art that a plurality of separate buses may be used for data output over the lines 174, 175 or 176.
