Description
Description
A PRESSURE DEVICE OF A MULTIPURPOSE WINCH TYPE
Technical Field
[1] The present invention relates to a device which is intended to improve convenience and efficiency in use of a S-shaped massager for relieving the back muscle stiffness causing around the neck or shoulder of a user, in more particular, to a pressurizing device of a multipurpose winch type which comprises a main body of a footboard type, which is composed of a treadle member and a base member, a winding means, a control member, and a connection member, and a rotary means mounted on the main body, to thereby allow a user to improve flexibility of the waist.
Background Art
[2] In general, a lesion related to a general muscle stiffness can be classified into trigger point and myofascial strain in the viewpoint of technical knowledge, which leads to the slight difference in the therapy methods thereagainst. However, it has been known that they are removed through acupressure such as the continuous pressurizing against the corresponding bodily regions having such lesion, for several minutes.
[3] The present applicant has proposed an apparatus in a Korea patent application
No.l04814(filed; November, 3, 2005, hereinafter referred to a prior art), which is intended from the above viewpoint. The prior art has a modified shape in its entirety consisting of hook-shaped main bodies Ia, Ib having acupressure means 2a, 2b, and rotatable connection member 3 provided on the middle portion of the main bodies Ia, Ib.
[4] Such prior art is used in various types. In particular, as shown in FIG. 1, when using a string 4, the vector of the force pulled from the string 4 is oriented as shown in the dotted arrow, and a force vector for therapy of the back, which pressurizes the back of the user, is oriented as shown in the dash dot arrow. Therefore, in the state of gripping the rotatable connection member 3, the user switches the vector of the pulling force so as to be coincident with the vector for therapy of the back through predetermined actions. In this instance, there are several disadvantages in that it causes trou- blesomeness such as the user must step on the string 4 or fix the string 4 to a third object, and it causes difficulty in maintaining a comfortable posture for effective acupressure treatment, although the string 4 is fixed.
[5] In addition, there is an additional shortcoming in which in the case where the string
4 is used in a state of being stepped on by a user feet, as shown in FIG. 1, it causes pain on the feet stepping on the string 4 according to the strength of tension applied to the string 4, so that it fails to provide sufficient acupressure effect on the affected regions
of a user.

[6] Accordingly, the present invention has been made to solve the above problems occurring in the prior art, and it is an object of the present invention to provide a pressurizing device of a multipurpose winch type which comprises a main body of a footboard type, a winding means, a control member, and a connection member such as a string, so that it is used in the state where a user steps on the connection member, thereby facilitating pressurization.
[7] In particular, it is a second object to provide a pressurizing device of a multipurpose winch type which is further provided with a rotary means mounted on the main body, which is composed of a treadle member and a base member, so as to improve flexibility of the waist of a user.
[8] Further, it is yet another object of the present invention to provide a pressurizing device of a multipurpose winch type, which is further provided with an acupressure means mounted on the main body, so that it is possible to provide feet massage function which helps to stimulate the meridian points on the sole and the like.
Technical Solution
[9] To accomplish the above objects, there is a main feature of the pressurizing device of a multipurpose winch type according to the present invention in that it comprises a main body of a footboard type, a winding means, a control member, and a connection member such as a string.
[10] In particular, the main body of the pressurizing device of a multipurpose winch type according to the present invention is composed of a treadle member and a base member which are constructed to be capable of being bound and detached, and between both of which a rotary means is further mounted, so that the rotary drive with respect to each other can be carried out.
[11] In addition, as for the main body of the pressurizing device of a multipurpose winch type according to the present invention, the treadle member and the base member are constructed to be capable of adjusting the angle therebetween, and an acupressure means is mounted on the treadle member so as to stimulate the meridian points on the sole of a user.

Mode for the Invention
[18] Hereinafter, a preferred embodiment of the present invention will be explained in detail with reference to the appended drawings.
[19] A pressurizing device of a multipurpose winch type of the present invention is constructed such that it comprises a main body formed in an one piece of a footboard type, which has a winding means 20 installed therein, or it comprises a main body formed in two pieces, i.e., a treadle member 11 and a base member 12, as shown in FIGs. 3 through 4. The main body 10 having the above structure comprises a control member 30, and a connection member 40. The control member 30 of a bar-type is linked to the winding member 20 so as to control the operating state of the winding member 20. The connection member 40 such as a string or wire has a traction mechanism such as a winch such that the string or wire wound around the winding member 20 is drawn out of the main body by means of external force.
[20] The FIG. 6 is a schematic view of the winding member 20 and the control member
30, the structure of which are invented from the inside structure of the case of the measuring tape. In other words, the winding means 20 is supported by a resilient member 21 such as a spring and is provided with a rotary shaft 22 installed in one direction thereof so as to be rotated by the force with constant strength. Here, a braking disk 23 having a plurality of grooves formed its edge is provided on an end of the w inding means 20. Further, the control member 30 of a bar type is frictionally engaged to a groove of the braking disk 23. Here, when a special operating is not executed on the control member 30 by the resilient member 31, the control member 30 is desirably frictionally engaged to the groove of the braking disk 23 all the time. Also, the control member 30 is desirably extended in such a manner as to be projected from the side surface of the main body 10, to thereby readily control the operation of the winding means 20.
[21] The main body 10 of the present invention is a plate member, which is constructed
such that the treadle member 11 and the base member 12 are integrally coupled to each other by means of an engagement member 13 such as a hinge. In this instance, the treadle member 11 has a communication part 1 Ia of an elongated hole-type formed thereon, through which the connection member 40 passes. Further, an angle setting means 50 is provided between the treadle member 11 and the base member 12, so that the treadle member 11 can be raised with respect to the base member 11 by a predetermined angle, thereby allowing the user to comfortably rest his or her feet on the treadle member.
[22] The angle-setting means 50 comprises support rods 51a, 51b mounted on an
opposite side surfaces and an underside of the treadle member 11, respectively, so as to be pivotably rotated, and a latching element 52a of a multistage protrusion type and a latching element 52b of a multistage groove type mounted, respectively, on an opposite side surfaces and an upside of the base member 12. In particular, the support rod 51b mounted on an underside of the treadle member 11 is preferably constructed to be pivotally rotated in the state of being mounted on a concaved portion formed in the underside of the treadle member 11, and the support rod 51a mounted on the opposite side surfaces of the treadle member 11 is preferably constructed to be fixed to a fixed member 53.
[23] Further, the treadle member 11 and the base member 12 is more preferably
constructed to be readily detached from and attached to each other, so that it is possible to improve convenience for transportation and storage. Such construction is performed in various manners. For example, as shown in FIG. 2, it is also possible to be constructed in such a way as to deform an one side of the engagement member 13, which is capable of being bound such as a hinge, to be attached to and detached from the corresponding other side of the engagement member 13. In other words, the one side of the engagement member 13 to be bound is formed into a shape capable of inserting into the other corresponding side of the engagement member 13, i.e., into an engagement element 13a formed on the base member 12 so as to be attached to or detached from each other.
[24] A pressurizing device of a multipurpose winch type of the present invention is also provided with a circular rotary board as a sort of an exercise tool for improving flexibility of the waist of a user and training the lower body of a user. In other words, as shown in Figs. 4 through 5, a rotary means 60, which is composed of a pair of male and female pieces to be mutually rotated upon their engagement, is mounted, respectively, on an underside of the treadle member 11 of the main body 10 and on an upside of the base member 12 of the main body 10, so that it can be replaced by an exercise tool such as a rotary board.
[25]
[26] The rotary means 60 comprises an annular guide rail 61 with a protuberance thereon, and a plurality of driving wheels 62 engaged to and traveled on the annular guide rail. Here, it is possible to be constructed such that the annular guide rail 61 and the plurality of driving wheels 62 are mounted either on the underside of the treadle member 11 or the upside of the base member 12, respectively, in such a manner as to be opposite to each other. However, the plurality of driving wheels 62 is preferably mounted on the underside of the treadle member 11, and the annular guide rail 61 is preferably mounted on the upside of the base member 12. Also, the annular guide rail 61 is integrally formed with a cover 61a, thereby preventing the driving wheel 62 from being run off the guide rail 61 when traveling. In this instance, the annular guide rail 61 is provided with a plurality of attaching/detaching grooves 61b formed thereon, which are formed by cutting off the several parts of the cover 61a, i.e., the corresponding parts of the cover 61a to be opposite with the plurality of driving wheels 62, when the treadle member 11 is in close contact with the base member 12, thereby allowing the treadle member 11 and the base member 12 to be freely attached and detached to/from each other.
[27] The pressurizing device of a multipurpose winch type of the present invention is further provided with a detachable acupressure means 70 mounted on the upside of the treadle member 11 of the main body 10, thereby having an additional function of massage therapy on the sole of a user. In other words, the treadle member 11 of the main body 10 is provided with guide protrusions 1 Ib formed on the four corner portions thereof in such a manner as to be protruded therefrom by a predetermined height, so that the acupressure means 70 of a pad-type is inserted into the guide protrusions 1 Ib to be coupled to each other, or some other means such as a Velcro fastener may be further provided, so that the acupressure means 70 is fastened to the treadle member 11. In particular, the acupressure means 70 is formed in the shape of the sole of a person, which specifies the location of the sole, and is provided with a plurality of projections 71 formed thereon so as to stimulate the meridian points on the sole.
[28] Hereinafter, the operation relationship between the components of the present invention constructed above will be explained with reference to the appended drawings.
[29] As for the pressurizing device of a multipurpose winch type of the present
invention, the operation relationship will be explained according to the cases in which it is used to effectively pressurize the S-shaped massager described above, used as an exercise tool for training the lower body and flexibility of the waist of a user, and used also as an acupressure tool for the sole of a user while being used in the ways described above.
[30] First, in the case where the pressurizing device of a multipurpose winch type is used to be connected to the S-shaped massager, a user pulls out an end of the connection member 40 such as a string or a wire so as to adjust the length in conformity with his or her bodily condition in a state of pressing the connection member 40, and then the control member 30 is released, thereby allowing the length of the control member 30 to be maintained to a prescribed length. In this instance, the user connects the connection member 40 to the massager, and then keeps stepping on the main body 10 of a footboard type with his or her feet in a state of sitting on a chair or the like, while repeating pressurizing action using the massager.
[31] The strength of the pressurization applied to the massager through such pressurizing action is determined by a control force of the control member 30 which controls the movement of the winding means 20 of the main body 10. After the massage process is finished, when the control member 30 is repressed in a state where the connection member 40 is released from the massager, the connection member 40 is rewound into the main body 10 by means of restoration force of a resilient member 21 installed on the winding means 20, i.e., a rotary shaft 22, while the locked state where the control member 30 is anchored in a groove of the braking disk 23 is released.
[32] A predetermined angle between the treadle member 11 and the base member 12 is selected using the angle setting means 50 so as to more facilitate the pressurizing action with the massager during the whole process described above, thereby enabling a user to select comfortable angle of the ankle for pressurization in the state of sitting on the chair. In other words, the support rods 51a, 51b mounted on a side surface or an underside of the treadle member 11 are rotated to be placed on the latching elements 52a, 52b formed on a side surface or an upside of the base member 12, so that a predetermined angle between the treadle member 11 and the base member 12 can be maintained. Thus, it is possible that the pressurizing device of a multipurpose winch type of the present invention pressurizes the acupressure means 2a of the massager more strongly, thereby improving the acupressure effect of the acupressure means 2a.
[33] Second, in the case where the pressurizing device of a multipurpose winch type is used as an exercise tool such as a rotary board for training the lower body of a user and improving flexibility of the waist of a user, the engagement member 13 is removed from the engagement element 13a, whereby the treadle member 11 and the base member 12 composed of the main body 10 is separated to each other, and then the angle setting means 50 mounted on the treadle member 11 is rotated to be integrated with the treadle member 11. In other words, the support rod 51a mounted on the opposite side surfaces of the treadle member 11 is fixed to the fixed member 53, the support rod 51b mounted on the underside of the treadle member 11 is fitted into the concaved portion formed in the underside of the treadle member 11. After this, a
plurality of driving wheels 62 of the treadle member 11 are fastened to the plurality of attaching/detaching grooves 61b formed on the annular guide rail 61 of the base member 12, so that the treadle member can be rotated with respect to the base member 12. In this instance, the guide rail 61 constituting the rotary means 60 of the treadle member 11 and the base member 12 is integrally formed with a cover 61a, which horizontally extends from the upper end of the guide rail 61, thereby preventing the plurality of the driving wheels 62 from being run off the guide rail 61.
[34] Third, in the case where the pressurizing device of a multipurpose winch type is used also as an acupressure tool for the sole of a user while being used in two ways described above, an acupressure means 70 of a pad-type is placed on the upside of the treadle member 11. In this instance, the guide protrusions 1 Ib of the treadle member 11 functions to prevent the acupressure means 70 from being pushed to a side of the treadle member 11. Also, a fastening means such as a Velcro fastener may be further provided thereon, thereby supplementing the function of the guide protrusions 1 Ib.
[35] While the present invention has been described with reference to the particular illustrative embodiments, it is not to be restricted by the embodiments but only by the appended claims. It is to be appreciated that those skilled in the art can change or modify the embodiments without departing from the scope and spirit of the present invention.
Industrial Applicability
[36] As described above, according to the pressurizing device of a multipurpose winch type of the present invention, a user links the connection member to the shape of massager in a state of stepping on the main body with a user feet, so that it can permit to facilitate more effective pressurization, thereby improving conveniences in use of the massager as well as enhancing performance of the massager.
[37] Also, the main body composed of the treadle member and the base member is provided with a rotary means so as to improve flexibility of the waist of a user, and is further provided with an acupressure means so that it is possible to parallelly provide an acupressure therapeutic function stimulating meridian points on the sole as well as the main function in use, resulting in a significant reduction in temporal and economical loss according to its versatility.
