  • Central data base 4 stores information on statuses of parking places at all parking facilities, information on parking facilities geographic coordinates, and information on which parking facilities each driver searched and booked, in order to offer to him a list of his favourite facilities.
  • Application server 5 processes the data received from the central data base 4, and communicates with drivers and answers their questions, that is, provides them with information on the parking places available. Here is the complete system logics.

Abstract

Système pour localiser des espaces de parking libres au moyen de dispositifs de communication mobiles qui résout le gros problème de localisation des places de parking, surtout dans les villes. Le système comprend les composants suivants : une caméra (1a) qui enregistre l’état d’un certain nombre de places de parking ; des capteurs (1b) pour chaque place de parking ; des indicateurs (2) avec une lampe rouge, indiquant que la place de parking est occupée ou réservée, et une lampe verte, indiquant que la place de parking est libre ; un dispositif de collecte et de traitement de données (3) qui collecte des données sur des états de places de parking et les transfèrent à la base de données centrale (4) ; et un serveur d’application (5) qui, à la demande du conducteur, envoie ces informations à son dispositif de communication mobile (6). De cette manière, chaque conducteur peut, à tout moment et rapidement, obtenir des informations sur des emplacements de places de parking libres. Le système peut incorporer toutes les sortes d’installations de parking : rue, enclos, locaux fermés, garages, etc. Le système économise du temps et du carburant (diminuant de ce fait la pollution de l’environnement), permet une meilleur utilisation des installations de parking et réduit les embouteillages.
