Abstract

The invention relates to a lighting device for a refrigerating device, particularly a refrigerator, comprising at least one elongate transparent body (12, 14), at least one LED (16, 18) which is arranged on or in the vicinity of a front surface (74, 76) of the body in order to inject light emitted by the LED into the body, wherein a first partial surface (70) of the surface of the body, which extends in the longitudinal direction of the body, is embodied, in order to scatter and/or refract and/or reflect the light injected into the body in such a way that it is guided towards a second partial surface of the body (72) opposite the first partial surface in order to exit from said body, wherein good heat-conduction can occur between the LED (16,18) on the side thereof facing away from the body (12,14) and a guide plate (20, 22) extending along the first partial surface (70) in a substantially overlapping manner.
