Abstract

Ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von flammgeschützten, expandierbaren Styrolpolymeren (EPS) durch Extrusion einer Treibmittel- und Flammschutzmittel-haltigen Styrolpolymerschmelze durch eine Düsenplatte mit anschließender Unterwassergranulation, wobei die Verweilzeit des Flammschutzmittels bei einer Schmelzetemperatur im Bereich von 140 bis 220°C weniger als 30 Minuten beträgt.
