Abstract

The present invention concerns a thermoplastic urethane polymer and a method for the production thereof. The polymer comprises a polymer backbone with a hard segment containing ionizable acid groups, such as carboxylic groups, and a soft segment, which mainly comprises a polyether and which is in the amorphous state. The polymer exhibits a surface resistance of less than 108 O/cm, determined by ASTM-257. The polymer can be produced by melt processing.
