Consequently, providing longitudinally extending apertures in the shelf angle will permit alignment of the attachment bolts to each corresponding aperture and overall alignment of each curtain wall section to an adjacent section, including alignment at the exterior corners of the building. As will be understood, the number of slot and bolt assemblies 32, 30 that are provided to attach a curtain wall section 20 to the slab will vary depending on the weight and width of the curtain wall section. Once shelf angle 18 is properly aligned and leveled, the nuts 34 are tightened to fix the shelf angle to the slab.
  • the anchor assemblies 16 may not all extend in an exactly straight line. Therefore, there may be the need to interpose shims 31, such as washers, between the shelf angle and the anchor assemblies to provide for lateral adjustment of the shelf angle to each of the anchor assemblies and maintain the shelf angle extending along a true straight line.

This permits subsequent fixing of the self angle 18 to the anchor bolt 30 before disconnection of the hoisting assembly.

Abstract

L'invention concerne une construction de panneau mural et un système d'attache des parties d'un mur rideau à une structure de construction. Les parties du mur rideau s'emboîtent les unes dans les autres pour former une enceinte étanche résistant aux intempéries d'un bâtiment. Les panneaux du mur rideau se fixent aux bord périmétriques des parties du plancher du bâtiment, au moyen de cornières de support. Des moyens de réglage reliant les panneaux du mur rideau aux cornières de support facilitent l'alignement et le positionnement des parties du mur rideau. Une configuration de panneau de mur rideau préférée consiste en une liaison mâle-femelle des parties du mur rideau. Un système de placage de briques constituant une structure de support et d'attache permettant la pose d'un placage en briques autour du mur rideau est également décrit. Ce système utilise un rail de support conçu pour supporter un rang de briques et un canal d'agrafes à brique sur l'extérieur du bâtiment sur lequel des agrafes à brique séparées sont montées lors de la pose des briques.
