- the gas used to spray dry the material is typically air, although inert gases such as nitrogen or argon are also suitable.
- the temperature of both the inlet and outlet of the gas used to dry the sprayed material is such that it does not cause decomposition of the antibiotic in the sprayed material. Such temperatures are typically determined experimentally, although generally, the inlet temperature will range from about 50° C to about 200° C while the outlet temperature will range from about 30° C to about 150° C.
