Abstract

A file folder apparatus (100) adapted to be mounted to a computer display (30, 60) and conveniently house papers and/or file folders, particularly suited for use during travel and effective for use on a laptop computer (10) or a desktop monitor (60). The apparatus (100) includes a plurality of planar members (110, 120) configured to form a compartment for retaining paper. The planar member sidewalls (130, 140) may be expandable to accommodate large files. A number of convenience accessories may be integral to the apparatus (100) including a handle (162), a retractable paper attachment device (310), and a light (314). The apparatus (100) is attached to the computer display with at least one attachment device (200) that may be a hook and loop fastener assembly (210), an engager-receiver assembly (220), a cooperating sliding track assembly (230), an adjustable corner holster assembly (240), or an adjustable hanger assembly (250). A pivoting cam (340) may be incorporated into the sliding track assembly (230) to position the contents of the apparatus (100) for improved viewing.
