Definitions
- the invention shown is related to the field of dispensers in general, and in particular to devices for dispensing ingredients for quick drinlc preparation; first of all of powdered ingredients intended for mixing with liquid, preferably water. According to the
- a technical problem which has to be solved, is how to design a bottle cap as a device for storage and dispensing powdered, granulated or similar ingredients, and forming part of the bottle for storing liquid, in most cases water.
- the main requirement is that the ingredients must be stored separately from water, and not mixed without control.
- the additional technical problem is how to ensure undisturbed and quick discharging of the whole contents avoiding the risk of undesired opening and/or spilling in the mixing time. It has to be taken in account that it is not desired to use any built-in or additional means or mixing devices, but to schedule a simple bottle to be shaked by hand.
- a cap-assembly comprises the outer part and a piston, which exactly fits in the interior of the outer part.
- a mixture for refreshing drink preparation is stored in the container sealed at the bottom side .
- a seal brakes discharging the contents of the container into the water, which is in the bottle.
- the American patent US 5941380 describes a cap with container and one opening on it, which is covered by a rupturable membrane. The container is filled with powdered aromatic concentrate and closed by a membrane.
- a cap To enable container contents to be discharged to a bottle, a cap has to be set in the way that inducting groove is set towards of the edge the opening of the bottleneck. By pushing a cap it avoids to rupture a membrane making it possible to empty concentrate into a bottle, with holding back ruptured membrane inside a cap.
- a device is composed of the body and the neck of a bottle, which is containing liquid. This device also comprises a container, which is to be inserted in the bottleneck. A mechanism with a thread is passing through the cap and the container, and its purpose is to open a bottom of a container, in the way that ingredients are discharged and mixed in the bottle.
- the primary aim of this invention is to enable simple dosing by hand of powdered ingredients for the preparation of drinks, which are stored in container inside the cap of a bottle with liquid, pure water for example, on condition that compounds has to be discharged to a liquid just before the usage.
- the secondary aim of this invention is to ensure that the powdered, granulated, and similar ingredients are kept separated from a liquid without any risk of uncontrolled mixing before the usage due to dynamic and/or static loading.
- the further secondary aim is to give an additional possibility for consuming the prepared liquid drink through a device incorporated in the cap.
- Additional aims of this invention are: a) exclusively when the cap is in open position (protective cover removed) to enable activating of membrane rupturing, which divides liquid in a bottle from the container with powdered compounds in a bottle cap, b) a form and dimensions of the main cap opening for storing and dosing of powdered ingredients must correspond to different capacity of bottles with liquid to which it will be mounted and to enable quick discharge and mixing of the whole contents intended to be mixed in a bottle, c) all the materials used in the assembly, which consists of a cap, a flange, a bottle, a partition and seals, must be recyclable and adapted for selected waste disposal for ecology reasons.
- Transparent protective cap is set on the main cap mounted on a bottle with liquid, which, at the same time, contains a container for storing powdered, granulated and similar compounds.
- This container can be pushed down by hand, because it is movable towards the lower part of a flange, which, moving with its sharp edge, perforates a membrane, which closes a bottle with liquid. In this way to the whole quantity of ingredients from the container is discharged to a bottle, when the container is in open position. Ready- made drink can be made by a simple shaking of a bottle by hand.

- the presented invention represents an assembly in which two products (powdered ingredients and water) are separately stored and safely sealed. When there is a need these two products are ready for mixing in required quantities. It is of great importance to have both products stored and isolated from environment so to keep their quality until the expiration thereof, and to prevent any physical or chemical changes during whole this period in the case of consuming them. According to this invention, there are several embodiments. Because of this, details, which are especially described as the proposed embodiment, have not to be interpreted as limitations, but as the base for different patent claims.
- the presented invention comprises a set consisting of dispenser/cap (1), which has lower connector to a liquid container - a bottle (10), and the upper part (3) serving at the same time as a container and a pressure piston.
- Safety sealing for powdered ingredient (4) which prevents any contact with liquid- water (13) before usage, is achieved by security distance between lower edge of cylindrical chamber (16) and polymer membrane
- cutable or rupturable membrane which forms part of the lower part of a cap and ensures safety sealing of ingredients and avoids any contact with water before the use.
- this assembly consists of the following main elements: a) Transparent protective cover (2) is the means of protection from the undesired discharge of the ingredients (4), which is secured in its lower part by security "tamper evident seal (17). b) Removable flange (5) connects a container (3) with a bottleneck (11) and prevents undesired mixing of two ingredients through one internal membrane (6), which can be ruptured only before the drink preparation enabling the passage to ingredients. This mentioned membrane, when cut or ruptured, is partly still connected to internal wall of a flange (5) without the possibility for dropping any part of material to a drink.
- Container (3) can be stored to container/plunger (3) safely and be discharged to liquid when the user wants to prepare a drink.
- the mentioned container (3) is movable towards lower part of a flange (5) between “open” and “closed” position, while “open” position allows discharge of ingredients to a bottle.
- Container (3) has on outer side several ring-like grooves (14), which, by their arrangement, form and dimensions, correspond to ring-like projection (9) on internal side of a flange (5).
- the mentioned container (3) has its lower edge in the form of blade to enable membrane (6) to be ruptured.
- This knife-like edge (16) is designed to cut a membrane (6) when pushed down, but not to cut it in peaces.
- the membrane (6) is not cut along the whole edge; it remains connected to a flange by its non-cut part and cannot fall down in to a drink.
- its edge can be teethed instead of knifelike edge for cutting membrane (6).
- the first proposed version of a cap enables the user to drink when the drink is prepared, by taking off the cap from a bottle and drinking directly from the bottle.
- the second version comprises thin pipe (19) in the upper part of the container. When the container is pushed downwards and the drink is after mixing prepared, a user can turn it round to vertical position and use it for drinking. In the same way the user can turn it back to horizontal position to close it when he stops drinking.
- a bottle (10) with cap/dispenser (1) is presented in figures 1-12.
- a cap has internal screw thread, which corresponds to outer thread on a neck (11) of bottle (10).
- a cap/dispenser (1) has on itself a transparent protective cover (2), a flange (5) and a container (3).
- a flange consists of the upper part
- a flange (5) Two parts of a flange (5) are separated by a polymeric membrane (6) on which, when it is ruptured, a circular hole is generated for ingredients (4) to pass through and to fall in to the bottle (10) for the preparation of a drink.
- the internal surface of the upper part of the flange (7) has ring-like projections (9), which perfectly fit in the ring-like grooves (14) on the outer surface of the container/plunger (3), to guarantee the best connection with the container/plunger (3) on the "click-snap" principle.
- Ring-like stopper (15) determines the end position of the container/plunger (3) when it is pushed to rupture the membrane (6) made of polymer.
- the container (3) in which the ingredients (4) are stored, has a lower cylindrical edge (16) formed as a knife-blade capable of cutting the membrane (6) when users want to drink.
- lower cylindrical edge (16) of a container/plunger (3) can be carried out in the form of teeth for cutting the membrane (6), shown in figure 8.
- Figures 1, 2 and 3 present transparent protective cover (2) which fits in the container (3) and a flange (5) and has "tamper-evident" seal (17) on it.
- the flange (5) is provided also with a tamper evident seal ( 18) .
- the desired quantity of powdered, granulated or similar ingredients (4), which has to be kept separated until the preparation of the drink, is discharged into the container (3) along a conveyor belt included in a filling plant.
- the flange (5) arrives from another conveyer belt line which has an incorporated membrane (6) obtained simultaneously with the molding of the whole flange (5).
- the assembling of the flange (5) with the container (3) is done automatically simply by mere pushing the flange over the container and leaving one of the ring-like grooves (14) free to guarantee the "closed" position.
- a transparent safety cover (2) can be put on the cap/dispenser (1) and then everything can be assembled together on the neck of the bottle (11).
- the presented invention allows a simple application, without any special instructions to the people of different ages, from children to older persons.
- This product is designed in the way not to be stored or transported in exactly defined position or with a special care, because it has protective cover, which prevents undesired activating of their movable parts.
- Simple use provides hand removing of transparent protective cover (2 from the bottle (10) to be held in vertical position, in which movable container (3) is uncovered, already mounted on the neck (11) of the bottle.
- the container has to be pushed downwards to cut the membrane (6), which is situated between the upper and the lower part of the flange (5) on the bottle with liquid (13) in which the ingredients have to be discharged.
- a tasty fresh drink is prepared in this way.
