Abstract

The invention concerns a method for using a thermochemical transformer comprising a reactor (1) containing a solid (S) designed to react with a gas (G) according to a reversible exothermal sorption, a device (2) where occurs a reversible phenomenon involving said gas (G), means (4) for alternately communicating the device (2) with the reactor (1) and isolating them, the equilibrium curve of the reversible phenomenon being in a lower temperature domain, for an identical pressure, than that of the equilibrium curve of the reversible sorption in the Clausius-Clapeyron equation. The method consists in communicating the heat released from said reactor (1) to a reactor (3) for initiating and/or promoting an exothermal reaction, and in using the heat released by said exothermal reaction to regenerate the solid (S). The invention also concerns a device for implementing said method.
