Abstract

La présente invention concerne des procédés et un appareil de forage de puits sous-marin en eau profonde dans lesquels on utilise des techniques de forage à double gradient. Une forme de réalisation préférée comprend un tube ascenseur haute pression qui part d'une plate-forme de forage située à la surface et descend jusqu'au plancher océanique. La base du tube ascenseur est connectée à une tête de puits qui est ancrée sur le plancher océanique. Du matériel de régulation de la pression est installé sur l'extrémité supérieure du tube ascenseur au niveau de la plate-forme de forage. Un train de tiges de production spiralé est envoyé dans le tube ascenseur et dans la formation sous-marine. Le train de tiges comprend de préférence un dispositif de détection de la pression qui peut être utilisé pour envoyer à la surface des données de pression de fond de trou en temps réel.
