Abstract
The invention concerns a device for fixing and exchanging an upholstered fabric-clad armrest, on the arms of original non-upholstered and rigid armrests. It consists of a frame assembly (1), the lower part corresponding to the fastening device on the arms (5), having variable tubular shapes and a central slot (6), consisting of an anti-sliding inner rough part (4), a median part corresponding to padding materials (2) for cushioning impacts, and an upper part (3) corresponding to the cladding fabric. The inventive device is particularly designed to be interchangeable and to be provided with armrests of different shapes and fabrics matching different types of furniture items, and to remedy the problem of forearm and hand hypoesthesia resulting from compression phenomena.
