  • the tax and social •security costs are now a significant part of the gross cost of paying an employee. This is particularly so in continental Europe and there is a perceived trend that the tax and social security costs will increase as a proportion of the total cost of employing an employee.
  • the data processing system of the present invention will be set up so that the reporting system 12 draws data from the output of the payroll processing engine 31 (e.g. as stored in the database 36) . In the payroll processing engine 31 calculations are made at a jurisdictional level using local deduction terminology stored in the databases 24 to 30. When the information is drawn into the reporting system 12 then each deduction is categorised using a categorisation system applicable across all of the jurisdictions.

Abstract

Conformément à la figure 1, la présente invention concerne un système de traitement de données permettant la gestion du traitement des paies dans une pluralité de pays, chacun ayant des régimes différents de déduction. Le système comprend des premiers moyens d'entrée (15-22) permettant la saisie de données de paie, contenant l'information concernant les employés; des premiers moyens de stockage (14) stockant les données de paie par l'intermédiaire des moyens d'entrée; des seconds moyens de stockage (11, 23-30) qui mémorisent des données concernant des déductions à verser dans tous les pays pour chaque déduction; des moyens de calcul de paie (31) utilisant les données de paie mémorisées dans les premiers moyens de stockage (14) et les données de déduction mémorisées dans les seconds moyens de stockage (11, 23-30) afin de calculer pour chaque employé une valeur de paiement périodique et une valeur de déduction associée à la valeur de paiement périodique; des moyens de sortie (32, 33, 34, 35) permettant la sortie pour chaque employé de la valeur de paiement périodique calculée et de la valeur de déduction d'impôts associée calculée; des troisièmes moyens de stockage (36) permettant de mémoriser un enregistrement des valeurs de paiement périodiques et des valeurs de déductions associées calculées par les moyens de calcul (31); et des moyens de rapport (12) permettant l'accès aux données de déduction mémorisées dans les troisièmes moyens de stockage (36), classant toutes les déductions calculées conformément au régime de classement applicable à tous les pays et qui produisent des rapports consolidant les informations dans tous les pays compte-tenu des données de déductions classées.
