Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé et un appareil permettant de marquer des données avec des filigranes et d'authentifier des données. Des codes-objets sont dérivés de données multimédia (des données d'image par exemple) et utilisés pour former un filigrane quasi-aléatoire et une signature chiffrée. Dans les deux étapes de formation du filigrane, le filigrane quasi-aléatoire et la signature sont enfouis dans les données multimédia pour produire les données filigranées. Dans une procédure d'authentification, les données filigranées sont authentifiées par la déduction de nouveaux codes-objets, l'extraction des filigranes et la détermination de la correspondance entre les filigranes extraits et les nouveaux codes-objets déduits. De plus, la signature enfouie est extraite des données et déchiffrée. Les nouveaux codes-objets déduits sont utilisés pour produire des données qui sont comparées à la signature déchiffrée. L'utilisateur des procédures précédentes peut sélectionner une longueur d'authentification désirée sur la base du pourcentage des données multimédia utilisées pour produire les codes-objets.
