Abstract

A wind power generator being started at a low wind velocity through a simple structure. A blade is provided with a barrier member (11) arranged on the rear surface (1E) opposite to the front surface (1W) facing wind at the forward end (1F) of the blade in the rotational direction along the longitudinal direction thereof. A relative pressure difference is generated on the rear surface (1E) of the blade by the barrier member (11). That pressure difference is utilized as a torque for starting the blade.
