Abstract

Eine Vorrichtung (1) dient zur Messung des Massenstroms eines partikulär vorliegenden, mit Hilfe eines Gases transportierten Feststoffes (2). Sie weist eine Einrichtung (5) zur Erzeugung eines elektromagnetischen Feldes (6) auf, in dem ein Meßbereich definiert ist. Außerdem eine an einen Detektor (11) angeschlossenen Auswerteeinrichtung (7) für die zumindest am Feststoff (2) reflektierte elektromagnetische Strahlung. Die Auswerteeinrichtung (7) hat einen an den Detektor (11) zur Erfassung von reflektierter, elektromagnetischer Strahlung angeschlossenen Differentiator (13), an den ein Gleichrichter (17) zur Betragsbildung angeschlossen ist. Der Massenstrom wird hierbei allein aus dem Reflexionsmaß gebildet. Dazu wird die Reflexion zumindest am Feststoff (2) in es Meßbereiches des elektromagnetischen Feldes (6) gemessen, aus dem zeitlichen Verlauf des Meßsignales der Differenzialquotient nach der Zeit und daraus der Betrag gebildet. Durch die Inhomogenität des elektromagnetischen Feldes (6) ergibt sich ein Meßsignal, welches das Integral gebildet über die Zeit von dem Betrag de r nach der Zeit abgeleiteten reflektierten Leistung ist. Dieses Meßsignal ist proportional zu dem Massenstrom.
