Abstract

Phytochemical extracts of Grifola frondosa are provided. In particular, aqueous and ethanol extracts are provided. The extracts exhibit 5-α-reductase and androgen inhibitory in vitro. The extracts are useful for methods of treating benign prostatic hyperplasia and alopecia.
