Abstract

Selon l'invention, une DEL (5) utilisée comme source lumineuse est disposée de manière à faire face à la surface incidente (4) d'une plaque de guidage optique (3). Une lumière émise par cette DEL (5) se projette sur la plaque de guidage optique (3) à partir de la surface incidente (4) de la plaque (3) puis se propage à l'intérieur de cette plaque (3). La lumière, dont l'angle d'incidence relativement à une surface de départ (6) est changé en angle critique pendant le processus de propagation, est émise de cette surface de départ (6) de la plaque (3). De plus, plusieurs projections prismatiques (12) s'étendant dans une direction éloignée de abords immédiats de la surface incidente (4) sont formées en parallèle sur au moins la surface de départ (6) de la plaque (3) ou une surface (10) opposée à la surface antérieure. Les parties latérales de la surface latérale (10b) des projections prismatiques (12) sont formées de façon à réduire progressivement les hauteurs des projections vers la surface incidente (4). Ces arrangements limitent une émission de lumière anormale à proximité de la surface incidente de la plaque de guidage optique et uniformise une luminance optique de sortie même lorsqu'une DEL est utilisée comme source lumineuse.
