Abstract

One aspect of the invention concerns a combined food dispenser and feeding spoon which comprises : a collapsible food container (16) having an opening (20) for dispensing food ; a substantially rigid spoon (12) having at least a bowl portion (22) ; and, a connection means for attachably/detachably connecting the spoon to the container. Food is dispensed through the opening of the container onto the concave surface of the bowl portion by application of pressure to the walls of the container. In a preferred embodiment the container also comprises a substantially rigid neck portion (18) at least partially surrounding the opening, and the connection means attachably/detachably connects the spoon to the neck of the container. The invention also provides a heater device (40) for warming food in the container. The heater comprises a means for weighing the contents of the food container in a heating chamber, and a processor for determining a heating cycle suitable for heating the food to a pre-determined temperature in accordance with the weight of the food in the container. The heater can be powered by a rechargeable battery and an in-car adapter.
