Abstract

A multipositionable apparatus (10) for mounting on a receiver assembly carried by a vehicle includes a platform (20), a pair of posts (22, 24) adapted to engage the receiver assembly and extend therefrom in a coplanar spaced relationship, a support frame (26) for mounting the platform, leg means (28,28’) for displacing the platform relative to the posts, and at least one transversely movable capture mechanism (30) carried by the support frame. The capture mechanism includes at least one capture bracket having a first capturing surface for nesting with and releasably capturing a leg when the platform is in the lowered position, and a second capturing surface for nesting with and releasably capturing a leg when the platform is in the raised position. The second capturing surface may depend from the first capturing surface and define an inclusive acute angle therewith.
