Abstract

A method is described of identifying peptides which bind to protein kinases, especially a protein kinase C, in (a) an active conformation-specific, (b) an inactive conformation- specific, or (c) an active conformation-independent manner. Peptides which specifically bind PKCα in an active conformation specific manner have been identified , and may be used diagnostically and in other ways.
