  • the telemonitoring with cameras according to the invention has several advantages. It provides possibility to watch certain places such as building areas, boats, factories, offices, dams, or stables from a remote location. E.g. in case of building a house, the owner can check it even from abroad if tiling has taken place, if the machines or material are put safely away, if the concrete has been watered, if the night watchman is at its place. In case of a break-in, the recording started triggered by the motion sensors facilitates capturing and the demonstration procedure.
  • the picture recording device including the camera takes only small place, and can be placed unmarked even in the open air. There is no need for mains connection, therefore it is mobile, easily relocatable, at the same time its house can be locked, fixed, and can be supplied with alarm system. Multidirectional movement and zooming of the camera is also possible. Its power consumption is low; its accumulator can be charged by solar energy as well.
  • the client using the service can watch the sites monitored by the installed remote mobile camera units from his home or office through an Internet connection.
  • the site can be watched either as a live broadcast, or by watching automatically recorded events, paying a fee proportional with the duration of the service.
  • Automatic recording can be controlled either by setting the time interval or by a motion sensor.
  • the automatic recordings are stored in the memory of the server of the service provider. The recordings can be accessed only by the subscriber, and he can access it from any place where Internet connection is available.   • the client enters into an agreement with the party operating the service provider unit 12, in the frame of which the picture recording devices 10 are installed at the sites specified by the client. Thereafter it becomes possible for the client to watch the remote object specified for telemonitoring, e.g. building sites, through the Internet at any time.
  • the client logs on to the web site of the service provider in the known way, and selects the picture recording device 10 containing the camera 2 to be watched.
  • the service provider unit 12 automatically sends an SMS signal to the communication unit 8 of the picture recording device 10 having the call number specified by the communication centre 11.
  • the control unit 5 of the picture recording device 10 effects GPRS data transmission to the communication centre 11 through the mobile communication unit 8, and builds up the connection to the Internet 13.
  • the communication centre 11 transmits the data via fixed line Internet 13 connection though the service provider unit 12 to the client's computer, the client terminal 14.
  • the service provider unit 12 records the starting and closing time of the service, acting as a basis of using the service.
  • the picture recording device 10 automatically calls the communication centre 11 upon the signal of the motion sensor 6, and builds up the Internet 13 connection with the service provider unit 12.
  • the service provider unit 12 stores the vide recording in its memory similarly to a mail box, and if necessary, notifies the client in an SMS message. In the course of watching, it is possible to move the camera 2 and its optics from the client terminal 14.
  • the service provider unit 12 provides service side and user side access, preferably with web interface. On the service side it is possible to configure new clients, set the relevant parameters, assign the IP addresses of picture recording devices 10 to the client, select the options, e.g. select the response to the motion sensor, set the tariffs and invoicing, manage the parameters and the passwords of existing clients, manage time periods and turnover figures.
  • the user interface of the service provider unit 12 can be seen at the client terminal 14.
  • the picture recording device 10 can be controlled and programmed from here, the user name and password can be entered and the turnover figures can be checked here.
  • the client can set his parameters and select his cameras 2, he can set the resolution and the sound transmission for each camera 2 separately or together, move the camera in all directions, set the zoom, set the motion sensor and, if available, set the weather monitoring.
  • the recordings can be saved, archived, and the automatic recordings made upon the signal of the motion sensor can be deleted from the server. It can also be set that recording starts at a certain time and lasts for a predefined period of time.
  • the software running on the service provider unit 12 partly consist of known picture processing, invoicing etc. applications, and partly software written for the given task, e.g. for selecting the picture recording device 10, preferably in JAVA programming language. Besides the above, many other embodiment examples and methods can be realized which fall within the scope of the invention.

Abstract

La présente invention concerne un système de configuration de connexion de télésurveillance et un procédé d'application comprenant l'utilisation d'une caméra. La caméra comprend au moins une unité de caméra numérique pour chaque client qui est installée sur un site surveillé spécifié par le client. Cette invention se caractérise en ce que l'unité de caméra numérique comprend un dispositif (10) d'enregistrement d'image mobile disposant d'une connexion automatique à l'Internet, le dispositif (10) d'enregistrement d'image comprenant une unité de commande (5), de préférence une carte mère d'ordinateur et une unité (8) de communication mobile. Le dispositif (10) d'enregistrement d'image se trouve connecté en mode transmission de données à une unité (12) fournisseur de services adaptée pour effectuer la transmission sans fil d'enregistrement vidéo en temps quasi réel et l'unité (12) fournisseur de services est connectée à des terminaux client (14) via l'Internet (13).
