Abstract

L'invention concerne un système d'exploration ou de transcodage vocal, permettant d'accéder à des informations et de les consulter par l'intermédiaire d'une interface d'utilisateur audio ou d'une interface d'utilisateur à affichage réduit. L'interface d'utilisateur audio permet d'entrer des données par commande vocale ou au moyen d'un clavier numérique pour interrompre la présentation d'informations, pour accéder directement à un hyperlien, par exemple. Lorsqu'il travaille sur l'Internet, l'utilisateur d'un ou plusieurs dispositifs d'accès, y compris un téléphone cellulaire, un téléphone, un ordinateur portable, ou un poste de travail, peut demander une page Web en fournissant une adresse. Le guidage peut être préparé à l'avance par l'utilisateur au moyen d'un éditeur. Le guidage permet une réduction des données, une sélection, une annotation, et une reformulation du contenu demandé. Le guidage peut comprendre des instructions dans un langage de balisage comprenant une description sommaire structurelle du contenu ou un modèle de Markov caché. Pour que des changements fréquents dans l'arrangement du contenu sur des pages Web fournies par l'Internet soient possibles, des parties du contenu sont identifiées pour l'application d'un certain guidage selon une technique consistant à aligner une description sommaire structurelle du contenu courant sur la description sommaire structurelle stockée avec le guidage. Le guidage adapté à un certain contenu peut être situé sur la base d'une adresse du contenu (adresse URL, par exemple), d'une adresse associée, ou par le fait qu'il se trouve dans le cadre d'une expression courante. Le guidage permet de produire un contenu dérivé plus facile à comprendre lorsqu'il se présente sous forme audio ou lorsqu'il est affiché sur un écran à affichage ou à résolution limitée. Le contenu dérivé peut comprendre une série de pages Web organisées de façon hiérarchique avec leurs liens associés. La complexité et l'importance des régions de la page Web demandée sont évaluées lors de l'établissement de la hiérarchie et l'organisation de la série de pages Web à présenter. Chacune des pages Web peut alors être exprimée dans un langage de balisage vocal et présenté au moyen d'un moteur à commande vocale à l'utilisateur. Les informations provenant de la page Web demandée peuvent être présentées sur un dispositif d'accès identique ou différent.
