Abstract

L'invention concerne un appareil conçu pour mettre en place ou positionner une portion d'extrémité proximale d'un élément pénétrant dans une zone cible d'un corps. Cet appareil ou porte-aiguille est particulièrement adapté pour positionner une aiguille percutanée dans une zone cible de tissu mou d'un corps, plus particulièrement, d'un corps présentant des tissus mous hétérogènes. Cet appareil comprend un premier bras conçu et placé pour maintenir une portion distale de l'élément pénétrant, et un premier système d'entraînement couplé au premier bras. Le premier système d'entraînement est conçu et placé pour déplacer ou translater le premier bras depuis une position de départ vers une des multiples autres positions à une distance espacée de la position de départ, translatant ainsi portion d'extrémité proximale de l'élément pénétrant. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, le premier bras maintient également l'élément pénétrant de manière rotative et l'appareil comprend également un second système d'entraînement couplé à la portion distale de l'élément pénétrant, lequel système est conçu et placé pour faire tourner l'élément pénétrant autour de l'axe de translation.
