Abstract

L'invention concerne un tenon obtenu par réalisation d'une cheville à partir de la tige (diaphyse) d'os de longueurs différentes. Le tenon comporte un canal intramédullaire pouvant être revêtu d'un matériau ostéogène quelconque. Le tenon présente une surface corticale dans laquelle une ouverture de fixation d'instrument peut être usinée, et sur laquelle une marque d'alignement peut être inscrite pour une orientation adéquate du canal intramédullaire. Le tenon comporte une extrémité d'insertion chanfreinée, et présente des propriétés biomécaniques ainsi que des propriétés d'induction de fusion vertébrale améliorées par rapport aux tenons habituels. L'invention concerne également différents types d'implants comportant une pluralité d'ouvertures destinées à faciliter la diffusion de substances biologiquement actives associées auxdits implants. L'implant selon l'invention peut par ailleurs être infusé et/ou noyé et/ou imbibé et/ou revêtu de substances biologiquement actives choisies parmi les facteurs de croissance, protéines morphogénétiques osseuses, cellules, antibiotiques, protéines, peptides, et acide nucléiques.
