It is therefore desirable to provide structural support arrangements for variable nozzles independent of the turbine casing to improve actuation systems to increase reliability and decrease manufacturing costs for the turbochargers that use them.

- the insert constitutes the exhaust gas outlet from the turbine 73 with an aerodynamic contour fixing the blades on the wheel of the turbine.
- the insert and the base with the fixed vanes and the actuating elements constitute the cartridge, which is separated from both the central casing and the exhaust casing and fixed between these two components.
