Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé et un système pour renforcer l'alimentation en air de combustion fournie à un brûleur d'un four afin d'en améliorer la productivité et la rentabilité thermique et, par conséquent, pour minimiser les changements de l'indice de combustion nominal du brûleur. On introduit l'oxygène et le combustible dans un plénum d'air en amont de l'ensemble brûleur en quantités contrôlées pour former un prémélange ininflammable de gaz sous pression, dans ledit plénum, formé d'air, de combustible et d'oxygène. Une sortie du plénum d'air communique le prémélange ininflammable de gaz sous pression au brûleur en vue de sa combustion. Ledit prémélange contient un pourcentage prédéterminé d'oxygène ainsi que de combustible.
