Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a method for providing information for a television set according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
  • the invention is therefore based on the object of avoiding the disadvantages of the prior art and, in particular, of specifying a method for providing information on a television set which likewise provides a return channel.
  • An advantage of the invention is the expected acceptance of the return channel provided. This does not block a telephone line, causes almost no costs and only requires minimal separate hardware.
  • a particular advantage of the invention is that the operation provided by the return channel provided is possible for the user in which he can use his return channel directly. He can therefore immediately input via the return channel, for. B. participate in a vote (TED). There is no delay, such as would occur in the prior art if a corresponding telephone connection is overloaded. However, its input is only forwarded to the sender when the necessary requirements have been met, e.g. B. the PC connected to the first transceiver device is connected and connected to the Internet accordingly. The operation is therefore transparent. Any time differences are imperceptible to the user or do not impair operation, but possibly operation. The latter does not apply if there is a free dedicated line to the Internet.
  • Another advantage of the present invention is that individual or individualized data can be displayed on the television for the user. NEN. This is in contrast to the well-known television text. For example, for a user who cannot receive certain television programs, these can be omitted from an EPG for better clarity.
