Abstract

L'invention concerne une orthèse pour le traitement, d'une part, des entorses de l'articulation métacarpo-phalangienne (1), plus particulièrement des ligaments latéraux cubital 82) et radial (3), et, d'autre part, des fractures du 5e métacarpien. L'orthèse, selon l'invention, est du genre comportant un élément (4), en matériau souple, constitué d'une partie distale (5) entourant la zone de la première phalange (6) et d'une partie proximale (7) ; un moyen de serrage (10) servant au maintien de la pièce (7) autour du poignet (21) et deux éclisses (11) et (12) placées dans des goussets (13) et (14) solidarisés à l'élément souple (4) et positionnés de part et d'autre du pouce (26). Elle se caractérise essentiellement en ce que les éclisses (11) et (12), qui s'étendent de l'articulation inter-phalangiennne (16) au poignet (21), sont maintenues, aux deux extrémités, respectivement, côté phalange, par un premier moyen de serrage (19) servant également au maintien de la partie (5) autour de ladite phalange et, côté poignet, par la moyen de serrage (10) et en ce que l'élément (4) est réalisé en deux parties superposables, symétriques, reliées entre elles par leur bord longitudinal (29) et ouvertes, au niveau de leur bord longitudinal opposé, respectivement le long des bords (15) de la partie distale (5),le long des bords (30) des portions dorsales et palmaires de la partie (7) et le long des bords (31) de la portion proximale de ladite partie (7) autour du poignet (21).
