Abstract

La présente invention concerne un système de détection de position acoustique comprenant un ou plusieurs générateurs de signaux acoustiques espacés situés à des positions relatives prédéterminées et un objet comprenant: (i) un détecteur permettant de détecter des signaux acoustiques générés par le ou les générateurs de signaux acoustiques et de convertir les signaux acoustiques détectés en signaux électriques correspondants, et (ii) un organe de traitement de ces signaux électriques correspondants de façon à repérer les heures d'arrivée respectives des signaux acoustiques. On détermine la position de ces objets par rapport aux positions relatives prédéterminées des générateurs de signaux acoustiques en utilisant les heures d'arrivées repérées. Les sorties de signaux acoustiques par les générateurs de signaux acoustiques sont de préférence des signaux électriques à spectre étalé qui réduisent la possibilité de perception de ces signaux acoustiques par une oreille humaine ou animale.
