Abstract
L'invention concerne un système et un procédé permettant de transmettre en continu des signaux audio et vidéo d'Internet à un appareil sans fil. Un réseau téléphonique reçoit une demande d'établissement d'appel d'un abonné. Les chiffres composés dans la demande d'établissement d'appel correspondent à une source audio ou vidéo voulue, telle qu'une adresse Internet ou un serveur de réseau. Le réseau téléphonique ouvre un canal pour la source audio ou vidéo et commence à recevoir des paquets audio ou vidéo en continu. Simultanément, le réseau téléphonique ouvre une liaison de communication pour le téléphone sans fil ou par câble de l'utilisateur. Ces paquets audio ou vidéo en continu sont convertis dans le format approprié pour le téléphone de l'utilisateur, tels que des signaux PCM. Une fois converti, le flux audio ou vidéo est envoyé au téléphone de l'utilisateur afin d'être rediffusé pour l'utilisateur.
