Abstract

Reagents which regulate human Deleted in Colon Cancer (DCC)-like protein activity can be used to regulate axon outgrowth. Such regulation is particularly useful for modulating neuronal growth regenerative capacity, i.e. the regeneration of axons in adult nervous system after, for example, injury or trauma, for diagnosing genetic neurological defects, and for treating neurodegenerative disease.
