Abstract

L'invention concerne un véhicule (10) servant à transporter des charges et comprenant un châssis (12), supporté par des moyens de contact avec le sol (18), ainsi qu'un dispositif élévateur à fourche (14) supporté par le châssis (12). Ce dispositif élévateur à fourche (14) peut être déplacé entre une position de levage, dans laquelle une charge conteneurisée (33) adjacente au châssis (12) peut être levée et descendue, et une position de transport, dans laquelle le dispositif élévateur à fourche (14) est situé au-dessus du châssis (12). Ce véhicule (10) comprend également des moyens servant à déplacer le dispositif élévateur à fourche entre sa position de levage et sa position de transport. La présente invention concerne également un support transportable (30) qui comporte une base rectangulaire (32) dotée de montants (34) inclinés, orientés vers le haut et espacés longitudinalement et latéralement. Plusieurs supports vides de ce type peuvent être gerbés verticalement. Un procédé de ramassage de grumes est également décrit.
