Abstract

On décrit un appareil et un procédé qui permettent de transformer un faisceau de laser de pompage ayant une première longueur d'onde en un faisceau de sortie ayant une deuxième longueur d'onde. Le dispositif de conversion de la longueur d'onde comprend un milieu solide imprégné avec un laser à colorants qu'on fait tourner à une vitesse qui est suffisamment lente pour permettre au matériau colorant d'émettre un faisceau laser et qui est suffisamment rapide pour réduire les aberrations optiques induites par la chaleur et l'absorption de l'état triplet. Le milieu et le procédé permettent de produire diverses longueurs d'onde de sortie pour le laser qui sont appropriées pour traiter des maladies des yeux. Dans la forme de réalisation préférée, le milieu se présente avec les dimensions d'un disque compact standard.
