  • the above mentioned problems are solved by positioning the bar-shaped element in a ring-shaped fastener as well as by mounting an expandable body in a space between the bar-shaped element and the ring-shaped fastener, which expandable body jointly with a conical screw, which is active in the center of the body, also allows space for holes in its circumferential part, preferably two, arranged in this circumferential part, and through which holes the wire, e.g. subsequent to an anchoring in the rear part of a vertebra, are guided, said expandable body, when the conical screw is driven into it, at the same time stably fixing the ring-shaped fastener as well as the wire, cable against the bar-shaped element.
  • a device which prevents the sliding of the wire, cable along the bar as well as the twisting of it around the bar, brings about a reliable anchoring of the rear part of the vertebra and consequently also the vertebra per se against the bar-shaped element, fixes several vertebrae against the same bar and gives the vertebrae a mutual stability, which is indispensable as far as the growing together of the vertebrae is concerned, and is simple to handle, is eonomic to manufacture and is flexible

  • a condition of the functioning of the invention is, that expandable body 1 is surrounded by a ring-shaped surrounding element, in this case designed as a ring 17, jointly with a bar-shaped element 23, but a simpler embodiment, which only includes expandable body 1 and ring-shaped fastener 17 is of course possible.

Abstract

La présente invention qui a trait au domaine orthopédique, concerne un dispositif permettant de bloquer des fils, des câbles contre un élément en forme de barre (23) à l'aide d'un corps expansible (1) lors d'opérations rachidiennes, ainsi qu'un procédé de blocage dudit dispositif. Le corps expansible (1) présente une forme quasi cylindrique, environ 2/3 de sa circonférence étant cylindrique, quatre secteurs (20) qui sont définis par de rainures larges et étroites (2, 3). A travers la partie inférieure (9, 10, 11) du corps, les fils (18), qui ont été fixés à la partie arrière d'une vertèbre, sont amenés à travers des trous (9) et puis hors de ceux-ci dans les deux fentes latérales, des espaces (2) (fig. 5) à côté d'une vis conique (22), placée centralement dans ledit cylindre. Cette vis, lorsqu'elle a été complètement guidée dans le corps expansible, bloque les fils et câbles de métal et provoque une expansion des rebords latéraux (20) du corps cylindrique. De ce fait, le corps expansible (1) est entouré par une pièce de fixation annulaire (fig. 1) et fixé à la dite pièce placée contre l'élément en forme de barre (23) qui est conçu pour servir de lien avec une vertèbre adjacente.
