Abstract

Cette invention se rapporte aux techniques médicales que l'on utilise en orthopédie et en traumatologie afin de traiter différents défauts ou affections congénitaux ou acquis dans les os longs et tubulaires. Cette invention concerne plus précisément des dispositifs d'ostéosynthèse à fixation externe. Cet appareil transosseux comprend des éléments de fixation de l'os (4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9) qui se présentent sous forme de barreaux (4, 5, 6, 7) ou de tiges à vis (8, 9), et qui sont fixés par paires sur chacun des supports de forme annulaire (1, 2) ou en arc de cercle (3). Ces derniers sont connectés en série à l'aide d'unités de connexion (10, 123, 14, 14a) de manière à pouvoir se déplacer l'un avec l'autre. Chaque unité de connexion comprend un fixateur de position (12, 22, 40) se présentant sous forme d'un élément de support (45) qui comprend une barre coulissante (50) poussée par ressort, et qui est connecté à un insert (46) comportant des cannelures (48) sur sa surface interne. L'un au moins des tubes (15) des unités de connexion possède une forme courbe.
