Definitions
- Audio receiving device with an audio module for a mobile phone system
- the invention relates to an audio receiving device with an audio module for a mobile telephone system.
- loudspeaker telephones with built-in or external loudspeakers and hands-free devices are known. Additional devices are also known, which are placed next to a conventional telephone and provide loudspeaker reproduction, and additional external microphones are also known for hands-free devices.
- An object of the invention is, in particular, to enable comfortable listening in also with mobile telephone systems, such as with cordless telephones.
- an audio receiving device with an audio module for a mobile telephone system in that the audio module can be connected to a radio terminal of a network via a radio interface and, in addition to an HF part, has an audio decoder whose audio output is via a standard Audio connection can be connected to an input of an LF power amplifier.
- the invention thus assumes that practically every household has components, such as televisions and stereo systems, which not only enable sufficiently loud, but also high-quality reproduction of the audio signals supplied.
- components such as televisions and stereo systems
- a listening option for mobile phone systems in the sense of the task created It is also possible to achieve a large distance between the microphone and the loudspeaker, so that there is a lower risk of feedback in hands-free operation from the outset. Since the transmission of the audio signals takes place wirelessly from the terminal, there are no problems with the cabling and connection technology at the telephone base or additional effort for a galvanic separation between the telephone network and the audio or television device.
- any AF power amplifier can be used for the purpose of the invention, but, as already mentioned, it is expedient if the AF power amplifier is part of an electroacoustic home appliance, such as a stereo system or a television set.
- the invention offers particular advantages if the radio terminal is the base station of a cordless system, the base station being connected to a fixed network via an interface.
- cordless system is designed according to the DECT system, there are particular advantages in terms of ease of use and audio quality.
- the audio module is set up not only for reception but also for transmission, since this enables communication, in particular data communication, to be achieved between the audio module and the radio terminal, which increases the flexibility of the device.
- the audio module is set up to work in a conference circuit in which an active connection between the base station and the audio module, initiated by a handset, is established.
- the audio module is set up to listen to the radio traffic between the base station and a handset in monitor mode. This option is less expensive, but it always depends on which cordless system or which mobile radio standard is involved.
- the radio terminal can also be a mobile radio device of a mobile radio network, i.e. the invention is not restricted exclusively to cordless systems. This results in particular advantages for the application according to the invention if the radio terminal is a dual-mode device.
- the radio interface between the audio module and the radio terminal can also be operated in a first system and the radio interface between the radio terminal and its base station in a second system, the GSM or UMTS standard being a practical example for the mobile radio network and DECT for the second radio interface be mentioned.
- the audio module can additionally be connected to an audio output of the electroacoustic home device via a standard audio connection, and thus an audio connection can be established to an audio encoder of the audio module, since this interface is standardized and meets all the requirements set here.
- the audio module can additionally be connected to an audio input of the electroacoustic home device via a standard audio connection, and an audio connection to an audio encoder of the audio module can thereby be established .
- music or speech from, for example, a stereo system to a remote subscriber can be transmitted extremely conveniently via the radio interface between the audio module and the radio terminal.
- FIG. 1 shows a first scenario or invention with a base station of a cordless telephone connected to a fixed network
- FIG. 2 shows a second possible application of the invention, including a dual-mode mobile radio device.
- a base station BAS of a cordless system for example working in accordance with the DECT standard in the present case, is connected via an interface to a fixed network FME.
- An S 0 interface for an ISDN network is shown here, but it can also be the a, b wires of a conventional analog network.
- the base station can be connected to one or more mobile parts MOB, ie cordless phones, and in the present case also has an integrated microphone MIC.
- an audio module SAM which has an HF part HFT, a microprocessor MPR, an audio decoder DEC and possibly an audio decoder COD, and which has an antenna ANT with the base station BAS, possibly also with a mobile part MOB in
- the audio decoder DEC of the audio module SAM is connected via a standard audio connection CIN to an LF power amplifier NFL of an electroacoustic home device HIF, where e.g. can be a stereo or a television.
- the sound radiation takes place via a loudspeaker LSP or several loudspeakers.
- the invention now enables a conversation between the base station BAS and the mobile part MOB to be reproduced via the power amplifier NFL and the loudspeaker LSP.
- the SAM audio moule In the simplest case, it can be set up to only receive and to listen in on the conversation traffic between the base station and mobile parts MOB, this listening-in should expediently be initiated by the mobile part MOB and / or the base BAS.
- the audio module is designed in principle like a further mobile part MOB, and can then work, for example, in a conference circuit in which an active connection is established between base station BAS and audio module SAM, which in turn can be initiated by a mobile part MOB .
- Such conference calls are possible, for example, with the DECT system.
- the microphone MIC already mentioned at the base station BAS has the purpose that speech can be reproduced via the radio interface between the audio module SAM and the base station BAS via the power amplifier NFL and the loudspeaker LSP or in different rooms ("speak directly) ").
- the audio connection between the power amplifier NFL and the audio module SAM is established as a standard connection, for example using the SCART or CINCH connector or interface system.
- the invention offers great flexibility due to the
- Radio interface which eliminates the need for complex cabling, and playback via the loudspeaker or the LSP loudspeaker is not limited to one room, but can also take place in a far away room or, of course, at the same time in different rooms or, of course, also outdoors.
- FIG. 2 shows a variant of the invention using a dual-mode cell phone or radio terminal MFG.
- communication takes place between the mobile radio device MFG and the base station within the cells of the mobile radio network MFN via a mobile radio standard, here the GSM standard, whereas the communication between the mobile radio MFG and the audio module SAM runs over another standard, here the DECT standard.
- a mobile radio standard here the GSM standard
- the communication between the mobile radio MFG and the audio module SAM runs over another standard, here the DECT standard.
- other radio interface standards - such as B. the Bluetooth interface system (see e.g. Funkschau 9/99 from April 16, 1999) - can be used between the mobile radio device MFG and the audio module SAM.
- a connection can be made to the audio module SAM via the radio interface of the DECT system recorded and a connection established, which can also be just one-sided.
- a connection is initiated by, for example, pressing a button on the mobile radio MFG or another, e.g. a voice-controlled input.

- an automatic volume control can be set up, in which corresponding control parameters, for example determined by the base station BAS in FIG. 1 by means of the microphone MIC or on the part of the mobile radio device MFG according to FIG. 2, and the control parameters then to the audio module SAM will be transferred.
- control parameters for example determined by the base station BAS in FIG. 1 by means of the microphone MIC or on the part of the mobile radio device MFG according to FIG. 2, and the control parameters then to the audio module SAM will be transferred.
