Abstract

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Vorrichtung zum Abdichten eines Ringspaltes. Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, eine Vorrichtung zum Abdichten eines Ringspaltes (1) mittels einer Magnetflüssigkeit (11) anzubieten, die es ermöglicht, zwei berührungsfrei, axial anliegende Rohrenden (9, 10) so abzudichten, daß zwischen dem fluiden Medium in den Rohren und der Umgebung kein Austausch erfolgt, die Magnetflüssigkeit sich nicht mit dem fluiden Medium vermischt und eine reibungsarme Bewegbarkeit und Drehbarkeit der Rohre gegeneinander möglich ist. Die Lösung der Aufgabe erfolgt dadurch, daß die einen Ringspalt bildenden Rohrenden mit den Polen einer um den Ringspaltbereich herum fixierten Magnetanordnung (8) magnetisch leitend verbunden sind und im Ringspalt eine Magnetflüssigkeit angeordnet ist.
