Abstract

A telecommunications apparatus, system and method for providing transport of packetized information over a satellite network, providing a bi-directional flow of information between a client (380) and a server (388) from a first satellite gateway (384) over a connection (386) to a second satellite gateway (386), utilizing protocol translation between TCP protocol and satellite protocol. A telecommunication apparatus, system and method for managing memory for storing information communicated over TCP connections and for controlling information flow in TCP connections are also provided.
