Abstract

La présente invention concerne un système d'opération destiné au commerce de contrats à valeur fixe, employant une nouvelle forme de contrat qui présente une valeur faciale fixe et deux côtés qui représentent respectivement des termes s'excluant mutuellement. Les agents soumettent des offres en spécifiant un côté «choisi» du contrat, un prix, et une spécification concernant la quantité de contrats, dans le but de correspondre à des offres complémentaires soumises pour le «côté» opposé du contrat, ce qui permet d'obtenir des marchés « remplis ». Au terme du contrat, en accord avec des critères préétablis, qui mènent à déterminer le côté dominant du contrat, les détenteurs de contrats remplis dont l'offre spécifiait le «côté» dominant reçoivent la valeur faciale du contrat. Le système d'opération de la présente invention est mis en oeuvre, de préférence, dans des réalisations informatisées permettant aux agents de soumettre des offres à un ordinateur hôte sur un réseau, ledit ordinateur offrant aux agents un accès à toute l'information de marché pertinente en temps réel, permettant de faire correspondre automatiquement les offres complémentaires, et d'obtenir la compensation et le règlement immédiats, de tous les marchés remplis, à partir de comptes de dépôts mis en place par les agents utilisant le système.
