Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Brenner (6) für ein Schneidverfahren, insbesondere ein Wasserdampf-Schneidverfahren, bestehend aus einer Steuervorrichtung (3), einem Flüssigkeitsversorgungssystem, insbesondere einem Behälter (5) für eine Flüssigkeit (8), und einer Stromquelle (2), wobei der Brenner (6) über Leitungen (9, 10) mit der Stromquelle (2) verbunden ist. Der Brenner (6) ist über eine Versorgungsleitung (7) mit dem Flüssigkeitsversorgungssystem verbunden. Im Brenner (6) ist zumindest ein einen vorgebbaren Querschnitt und Verlauf aufweisender Kanal bzw. Strömungskanal für die Flüssigkeit (8) angeordnet und zur Umwandlung der Flüssigkeit (8) in einen gasförmigen Zustand, insbesondere ein Gas (19), ausgebildet.
