Abstract

La présente invention concerne une toile de machine à papier, telle qu'un feutre comprimé, présentant une surface (15) venant en contact avec le papier qui est constituée d'une couche (11) contenant une proportion élevée de fibres (16) pouvant être fibrillées, qui confèrent à ladite surface (15) une structure fine. Lesdites fibres peuvent être des fibres de cellulose régénérée, ou des fibres de polypropylène ou de polyester. La fibrillation de ces fibres peut être effectuée avant ou après le montage de la toile sur la machine à papier, par enchevêtrement à l'aide d'eau et /ou par pression mécanique.
