Abstract

The invention relates to a housing for a brake booster, wherein especially two housing parts (1,-) are arranged opposite each other and define at least two pneumatic chambers. At least one bearing surface (2) is provided to fix a main brake cylinder (4) or a car body wall on the housing part (1). The bearing surface (2) is delimited radially inwards by an opening (5). In order to achieve permanent gastight fixing of the main brake cylinder (4) or the car body wall, the invention provides that the total bearing surface (2) or at least one segment (10) thereof exerts a spring action on the main brake cylinder and/or the car body wall. This provides a sealing of the brake booster housing with respect to ambient pressure (pu) that is cost-efficient and meets all operating requirements.
