- a first length section adapted to be joined, by one of its ends, to a patient's artery, whose nominal inside bore meets the above requirements (2) and (3),
- a second length section adapted to follow the said first length section, whose nominal inside bore is reduced in comparison to the one of the first length section, thus constituting a throttling length section, whereat its nominal inside bore fulfills the above requirement (2), and
- a third length section adapted to be joined, by one of its ends, to the said second length section and, by the other one, to a patient's vein, whose nominal inside bore also meets the above requirements (2) and (3), the said third length section preferably having an inside bore equal to that of the first length section.

- the second length section between the first and third length sections does not generate irregularities of blood flow, particularly a deceleration and/or vortexes that could cause the coagulation of blood or harm it in some other way.
- the nominal inside bore of the said second length section is not smaller than the difference of the flow areas between the first and the third length sections, respectively, and the blood-flow-affected projection surface of the wetted part of either shunt needle installed therein for the interconnection of the patient and the machine.
- aper se known transformation of a circular inside bore to an elliptic one with maintaining the perimeter constant is used for creating a throttling member.
- the nominal inside bore of the ellipse is a multiple of the nominal inside bore of the respective circle with a factor equal to the quotient of the minor to the major axes of the ellipse. If e.g. the said quotient equals Vz, the elliptic inside bore of the vessel amounts to one half of the circular one.
- a prior art hose can be transformed to an artificial vessel according to this embodiment of the invention simply by using an outer clamp providing a defined clearance.
